Purposes of data processing and legal basis

Visit the website:

When you access the website www.hessenfilm.de, the browser you use automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected and stored until automated deletion:

  • Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

Registration for our newsletter

If you have consented to receive our newsletter, invitations to events and other information relevant to you (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO), we will use your name and email address to send you this information electronically. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future and unsubscribe. To do so, use either the link at the end of each newsletter or, alternatively, the above e-mail address. Use of our contact form

For questions of any kind, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. It is necessary to provide a valid e-mail address so that we know from whom the request originates and can answer it. Further information can be provided voluntarily. The data processing for the purpose of contacting us is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO.The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be deleted after completion of the request you have made, unless there is another legal basis or there are legal obligations to retain data.

 

Application portals

We have set up an area for digital application management with the application portals (Hessen Film & Medien online application management). When registering, you must enter your e-mail address, first name and surname, and the name of the institution/establishment. You will receive a confirmation e-mail after your registration.

In order to participate in a funding program, we request the following information:

  • Name and address
  • Title and brief content of the film
  • Production costs, financing plan, amount requested, amount granted
  • Staff and cast

Applicants agree to the aforementioned data being passed on to other film funding bodies. We store the personal inventory data in the respective application portal in order to be able to process your application. The information required for the application as well as the uploaded application documents will be forwarded to the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art, members of the awarding commission and to PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH and Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen for the purpose of reviewing the application and making a funding decision. By participating in the funding program, you agree that the funding of the project will be announced publicly, e.g. through a press release, the newsletter of HessenFilm und Medien or on this website, and that the funding recipients, producers, the title and the brief content of the project, the names of the directors and the screenwriters as well as the amount of the grant will be mentioned.

 

STEP application portal

We have set up an area for digital application management with the STEP application portal.
In order to be able to participate in the STEP funding program, we request the following information:

  • Name, address and contact of the program participants
  • Company information for the industry qualification
  • Content-related information on the requested funding as well as the amount requested
  • Project-related data
  • Bank details

Applicants agree to the aforementioned data being passed on to other film funding bodies. We store the personal inventory data in the respective application portal in order to be able to process your application. The information required for the application as well as the uploaded application documents will be forwarded to the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art and the members of the advisory boards for the purpose of reviewing the application and making a funding decision. By participating in the funding program, you agree that the funding of the project will be announced publicly, e.g. through a press release, the newsletter of HessenFilm und Medien or on this website, and that the funding recipients, program participants and the brief content of the project, the names of the participants and the amount of the grant will be mentioned.

Disclosure of personal data

We will only share your personal information with third parties if:

  • you have given us your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR,
  • the disclosure is necessary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data,
  • there is a legal obligation to disclose pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR, or
  • it is legally permissible and necessary pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of a contract with you.
