»Silent Friend«, »Cotton Queen« & »It’s a Sad and Beautiful World« celebrate world premieres at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival – »Silent Friend« in Competition
The invitation to Cannes marks a premiere: for the first time, a film funded by Hessen Film & Medien has been selected for the Competition at the Cannes International Film Festival. At the same time, the selection of two films highlights the breadth of the funding – ranging from established international filmmakers to emerging talents. Paweł Pawlikowski’s feature film »Vaterland« will compete in the main competition, while Katharina Rivilis’ debut film »I’ll Be Gone in June« will be presented in the Un Certain Regard section.
