The EFM Toolbox is aimed at emerging fiction and documentary film producers who want to expand their networks and deepen their knowledge of the international film market. We are looking for Hesse-based producers from underrepresented groups to participate in the Fiction and Doc Toolbox Programs.
You
- belong to a group that is underrepresented in Hesse’s film industry,
- have one or more film projects at different stages of development,
- have practical experience in film production, and
- are proficient in English in a professional business context.

The program starts in December 2026 with online workshops and individual coaching sessions and runs through to the EFM in Berlin from February 11 to 16, 2027. Participants can expect individual project consultations, workshops covering topics such as pitching, financing, distribution and other industry-related subjects, as well as networking and matchmaking events during the EFM.
Early December to mid-January: Mandatory online workshops (currently scheduled for December 7 to 11 and January 11 to 15)
February 11 to 16: Participation in the EFM in Berlin
For selected participants, we will cover the participation fee, the Market Badge, as well as travel and accommodation costs in Berlin.
