Rhine

The Rhine is a 1,232.7 km-long river in Western and Central Europe and one of the busiest waterways in the world. In the Rhine-Main region of Hesse, the Rhine flows from Bacharach in the west, through picturesque towns such as Rüdesheim am Rhein, to Wiesbaden and the Bergstraße region. The Rhine region in Hesse is renowned for its wine-growing, castles such as the Ehrenfels castle ruins and Eltville Castle, as well as its mountains and forests.
