Taunus - Großer Feldberg

Spanning almost 1,350 square kilometres, the mystical Taunus is home to a fairytale landscape of green hills, rocky peaks and mist-shrouded forests. Not far from Frankfurt am Main, the Taunus offers a stark contrast to the city’s skyscrapers. The Taunus is home to a host of impressive towns, such as the elegant Kronberg and Königstein, as well as cosy villages like Idstein and Hofheim. The 879-metre-high Feldberg is the highest peak in the Taunus and offers sweeping views across the surrounding Rhine-Main region.
