buergerstiftung@zukunftsdorf-waldhof.deThe building is a former specialist lung clinic covering an area of 4,500 square metres, which remained in operation until 2020. It consists of an older section, which is around 100 years old and has been extended several times (most recently around 1985), meaning that various architectural styles are represented within it. The clinic building forms part of the ‘Zukunftsdorf Waldhofs’, which encompasses, amongst other things, healthcare provision, new medical approaches, seminar facilities, guest rooms, an organic garden and a developing community.
You can drive right up to the clinic. There is a car park at the entrance covering an area of approximately 40 x 30 metres. A two-minute walk away, there are around 40 parking spaces, which are also suitable for campervans, for example. The Zukunftsdorf offers around 20 simple guest rooms for overnight stays, as well as several seminar and event rooms and a small 15th-century chapel. Electricity is available at the hospital (including three-phase alternating current). The water/sewage and heating systems are currently out of service. For larger lettings and projects, these could be restored to working order within a planning period of approximately 8–12 weeks. The estimated restoration costs amount to €5,000–€10,000 and would have to be borne by the tenant (plus heating oil, if applicable).
