Stretching from Hanau via Gelnhausen to the Flörsbachtal and Sinntal valleys, the Hessian Spessart spreads across eastern Hesse like a colourful blanket. This nature park, covered in oak, beech, spruce and larch forests, forms – together with the Bavarian Spessart – one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Germany. It is the diversity of tree species in the woodland that gives the Spessart its colourful appearance.
The Hessian Spessart Nature Park is a public site and is managed by the public order departments of the local towns. For filming permits and enquiries, please contact the point of contact mentioned above.
